Eugene Schmitt
Eugene has a diverse commercial real estate background that includes portfolio asset management oversight, portfolio leasing expertise, and direct involvement of over $250M in development. Eugene holds a B.S. from the U.S. Naval Academy and an M.B.A. from Tulane University, with concentrations in Finance and Accounting. Eugene is a member of Innovating Commerce Service Communities (ICSC) and The Congress for the New Urbanism. Eugene is originally from Pass Christian, Mississippi. He enjoys competitive sailing and spending time with his wife, Theresa, and son, Keegan.
Tyler Robinson
Tyler comes from an analytical background in real estate that includes appraisal, acquisition analysis, and development analysis. Prior to SVN | Urban, Tyler was the Development Analyst for Stirling Properties where he worked with the Development and Acquisition Teams in evaluating virtually all real estate asset classes. Tyler has provided underwriting support for over $50 million in investment sales over the past year. Tyler holds a B.A. from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Tulane University. Tyler is an active member of the Urban Land Institute. Tyler is originally from Lake Charles, LA. He enjoys experiencing the best of New Orleans – its cuisine and music.
Tim Thompson
Tim has a diverse leasing, investment sales, and development background. As the firm’s Broker of Record, he oversees all real estate transactions for the firm as well as spearheading landlord representation and assisting on development deals. Prior to joining SVN | Urban Properties, Tim was a commercial broker with Stirling Properties where he represented both landlord and tenant needs focused primarily in the New Orleans metro area. A graduate of Metairie Park Country Day School, Tim studied Social Sciences and Business Administration at Louisiana State University. He is an active member of Innovating Commerce Service Communities (ICSC) and New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtor’s Commercial Investment Division (NOMAR CID).
Mike Bucher
Mike Bucher comes from a strong project management and construction background. He is responsible for managing SVN | Urban Properties’ development initiatives from entitlements to delivery. Prior to joining SVN | Urban, Mike served as VP of Development at Stirling Properties where he was responsible for leading new and ongoing development projects with a specialization in office and medical office product types. In addition, Mr. Bucher managed Stirling Properties’ New Orleans office at the Pan American Life Center, where he was responsible for new business development, specifically focused on the New Orleans market. Mr. Bucher holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Villanova University, and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, with specializations in corporate finance and investment banking.
Henry Shortess
Henry Shortess joined SVN | Urban Properties, as an Advisor in the summer of 2019.
Prior to SVN | Urban, Henry was an equity research associate for two years with Johnson Rice & Co., a boutique energy-focused investment brokerage firm in New Orleans. Henry graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, and was also a member of the men’s basketball team as a walk-on before earning a scholarship in his final semester. He also holds a Master’s degree in Energy Management from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business.
Henry enjoys exploring all that New Orleans has to offer, including its world-class food and music scene.
Katherine Bowler
As Asset Manager, Katherine is responsible for the Asset Management and Property Services for SVN|Urban Properties. Katherine oversees a diverse asset portfolio totaling over 400,000 SF that includes office, medical office, retail, multi-family, industrial, and mixed-use assets.
Katherine supervises SVN|Urban’s client reporting functions including management reports, articulating/implementing long term asset strategies, and establishing performance metrics particular to each property. Additionally, Katherine is responsible for integrating the proper property personnel for the day-to-day property management functions, leasing, and development requirement for each asset.
Katherine holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing with a concentration in Sales from Louisiana State University, and is originally from Baton Rouge, LA. Katherine enjoys playing tennis, working on her golf game, and walking Penny, her Goldendoodle, around the neighborhood.
Kate Whalen
Kate Whalen came to the SVN | Urban brokerage team from the Dallas Market.
As an agent with Urban, she brokers real estate transactions for clients and the firm. Kate serves tenants and landlords on SVN | Urban’s behalf. Whalen’s expertise also aids in developing presentations, proposals, and market studies for brands and concepts looking to expand into the New Orleans MSA.
Prior to SVN | Urban, Kate spent four years in Dallas, TX working in commercial real estate as a tenant representative at Whitebox Real Estate. Born and raised in New Orleans, Kate attended the University of Alabama and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication studies and a minor in Public Relations, and was also a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
In her spare time, Kate enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time in Audubon Park.
Sam Hurley
As an Advisor, Sam works diligently on all aspects of real estate transactions for the firm and his clients. He has in-depth experience across several asset classes including: land, retail, office and more. Sam analyzes his client's needs and desires, in conjunction with current market conditions and trends, in order to fulfill his role as Advisor. With a focus on investment sales, Sam knows what it takes to navigate the varied landscape of acquisitions and dispositions.
Prior to Urban, Sam was an operations specialist with Levelset, a local tech startup in New Orleans. The New Orleans native attended Tulane University, receiving a BSM degree in Finance & Management with a Specialization in Entrepreneurship. He was also a member of the Tulane football team (Roll Wave!).
In his spare time, Sam enjoys exercising with his pup (Titan), exploring the New Orleans' food scene, and golfing with his friends & clients.
Alex Fugatt
As Office Manager / Bookkeeper for the SVN | Urban team, Alex manages all aspects of the firm’s daily office operations, including oversight of the financials and bookkeeping for the firm and client properties alike. Both areas are vital to the firm’s success and require an organized, numbers-minded professional, and Alex’s expertise optimizes this role.
Prior to joining SVN | Urban, Alex’s background has primarily been working in an executive support role with start-ups and small businesses in the construction and technology industries. Originally from Lake Charles, she is a graduate of McNeese State University. When not at the HUB, she plays in multiple kickball leagues and enjoys traveling.
Keith Gross
Keith Gross joined the SVN | Urban Properties Team as a Property Manager. Keith supports the Property / Asset Management Team by managing all aspects of the firm's daily property management operations, which includes the oversight of 25 properties (and growing), totaling more than 550,000+ SF across six Louisiana Parishes.
Keith came to New Orleans from Orlando, FL with a very diverse professional background. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Central Florida in 2010 he worked as a financial analyst as well as costuming project specialist for The Walt Disney Company until 2019. (Fun Fact, in 2012 Keith put his professional career on hold to be a cast member in the Original Broadway Cast of Bring it On: The Musical). Since 2020, Keith has focused primarily on construction and property management in the New Orleans area.
When not at Urban HUB, his hobbies include traveling, outdoor activities and sports, and spending time with his family and friends.
Ryan Bridges
Ryan Bridges is our Head of Operations for Urban HUB Ryan also plans to obtain her real estate salesperson license by 2024, further adding to the brokerage team’s book of business.
Prior to joining SVN | Urban, Ryan spent the past four years in hospitality operations for Sonder ranging from warehouse logistics to property management and operations management. Before that, Ryan spent more than five years in procurement for Boeing.
Originally from Virginia, Ryan holds a Bachelors of the Arts in Sociology from the University of Virginia.
In her spare time, she began her journey as a birth doula supporting parents through their pregnancy and birth journeys. She loves making memories with her family, usually trying new local restaurants and you can find her practicing to be a contestant on her favorite Food Network shows.
Gavin Massengale
Gavin joined SVN I Urban Properties as an advisor in the Summer of 2023. He has gained early experience in assisting with marketing properties currently in the Urban Portfolio, and has also branched into buying and leasing of industrial and office buildings.
Before joining Urban, Gavin worked at The Chloe, a boutique hotel and restaurant on St. Charles Avenue that was recently named a top 10 boutique hotel in the country by USA today. Gavin also worked as a Research and Data Analyst for Levelset, a local construction software startup. He is originally from Austin, TX and came to New Orleans to attend Tulane, where he graduated with a B.A. in Political Science. While at Tulane he played on the club baseball team and was a student manager for the varsity baseball team.
During his down time Gavin likes running with his dog Izzy in Audubon Park or taking his kayak on the water to fish. He also enjoys exploring the incredible live music scene New Orleans has to offer.
Michael Corchiani
Michael brings a diverse background to his role at SVN| Urban Properties, joining the team in early 2024. Prior to his venture into real estate, Michael honed his sales and management skills as the Director of Sales for his family’s restaurants, Fat Boys Pizza, where he contributed to the business’s growth and success over a span of three years following his college graduation.
A Louisiana native, Michael pursued his education at Metairie Park Country Day School before embarking on his collegiate journey. He attended Southeastern Louisiana University, where he played basketball for one year on scholarship. Michael transferred to Louisiana State University, where he spent the next three years. There, he graduated with a degree in General Business and a minor in Entrepreneurship, laying a solid foundation for his future endeavors in the business world.
Outside of his professional pursuits, he finds enjoyment in playing golf and pickleball during his spare time, as well as spending time with his chocolate lab, Ruby!
Nicholas Corchiani
Nicholas, a Louisiana native, joined SVN | Urban Properties in the spring 2024. With a solid foundation in business management and marketing.
Before embarking on his career in real estate, Nicholas served as the Director of Sales and Events for his family's esteemed restaurant. During his tenure, he successfully managed day-to-day operations and spearheaded strategic sales initiatives, honing his skills in leadership, negotiation, and client relations.
Nicholas is a proud graduate of Louisiana State University, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Marketing with a Minor in Entrepreneurship in the spring of 2023. His academic background equipped him with a strong foundation in marketing principles, strategic planning, and business development.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Nicholas enjoys the great outdoors, watching sports of all kinds, and spending time traveling with family and friends.
